SITE

Overview

Cinematic is an AI-powered short-form video generator and editor, tailored for the TikTok era. Designed for both creators and brands, it enables users to craft personalized, repeatable, and engaging videos with just a prompt. I took on the challenge of delivering a refreshed website that was both visually compelling and strategically effective.

Accomplishments

  • Delivered a one-of-one website on a tight timeline that effectively communicates Cinematic’s value to potential clients.

  • Successfully adapted my design approach to suit a SaaS/B2B audience, ensuring the website aligned with the specific needs of Cinematic’s target market.

Responsibilities

As the sole designer on this project, I led the end-to-end design process, from initial concept to final implementation. My work included designing the user interface, developing the site in Framer, and ensuring that the website effectively communicated Cinematic’s value proposition to potential clients.

Process

This project marked my first foray into designing for a SaaS/B2B audience, which required a significant shift in my design approach. While my background in B2C design had focused on mass appeal, Cinematic’s target audience demanded a more focused and client-centric strategy.

Working closely with Sean, Cinematic's founder, we began by clearly defining the project’s goals: the website needed to immediately convey what Cinematic does and what sets it apart from competitors. With this in mind, I conducted a competitive analysis of similar SaaS products to identify best practices and opportunities for differentiation.

One of the most challenging—and rewarding—parts of this project was designing the Cinematic walkthrough on the homepage. We knew this feature showcase was critical for client conversion, so I focused on making the walkthrough both digestible and impactful. By emphasizing Cinematic’s unique selling points and integrating compelling visuals, I created a walkthrough that seamlessly guides users through the platform’s key features.

The pricing page was another key element of the project, representing Cinematic’s first step towards monetization. Drawing inspiration from leading SaaS companies, I designed a pricing page that was not only aesthetically pleasing but also optimized for user experience. I incorporated principles from Growth.Design to ensure that the page leveraged product psychology effectively, making it easier for users to understand and choose the right plan.

Throughout the process, I maintained open communication with Sean, who provided valuable feedback and creative freedom. This collaboration allowed us to iterate quickly and achieve a final product that met—and exceeded—his expectations.
